The descent is made slowly and reverently, starting high and rounding down, curling like a piece of shaved wood from a carpenter’s planer. Each arc of wind is the cycle of story that only one as ancient as he can tell of a people as ancient as they. With wings spread he lands with grace and dignity, paying homage to a fallen people.
